Sending a tip
The most useful tips come with a document, a filing, a docket number, or a link to something already public. Tell us what you have and how you came by it. If you need your name kept out of a story, say so in your first message and we will handle it from there rather than after the fact.
We do not pay for information. We do not publish anonymous claims on their own, and an unverified screenshot is not enough to enter a tracker. See our editorial standards for how sourcing decisions get made.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, write to corrections@parallaxadvisory.llc with the page and the specific claim. Substantive corrections are noted on the page itself. Tracker scores are disputable the same way: point at the input and the source, and a human will review it.

What to expect when you write
A person reads every message. We are a small operation, so a reply can take a few days, and we cannot promise to act on every tip. What we can promise is that we do not forward your message outside the newsroom, we do not add you to a mailing list because you wrote to us, and we do not hand your address to advertisers.
If you are writing about something time sensitive, a filing deadline, a document that is about to become public, or a story another outlet is chasing, put that in the subject line and we will move it up the queue. If you are writing about a tracker number you believe is wrong, include the tracker, the specific input, and the source you think we missed, and it goes straight to the editor who owns that tracker.
For anything involving legal process, including takedown demands and preservation requests, use legal@parallaxadvisory.llc rather than the tips address, so it is logged properly from the first message.
