Who runs the site

What we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to run the site and understand aggregate readership. That includes:

• Server logs: IP address, user-agent string, referring URL, requested page, and timestamp. Kept for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and traffic analysis.
• Newsletter signups: only the email address you submit to The Daily Muck, plus the timestamp and source page. Stored in our own database and used only to send the newsletter you signed up for. Unsubscribe any time from any newsletter footer.
• Cookies set by us: a small session cookie for the admin login. No behavioral tracking cookies of our own.

Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense / DoubleClick DART)

We use Google AdSense to serve display ads on some pages. Google is a third-party vendor and uses cookies to serve ads on this site, including the DoubleClick DART cookie.

• Google's use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting Google's Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com.
• You may opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

We do not control the cookies set by Google or any other third-party ad network and cannot see the raw personal data those networks collect from you.

Analytics

If Google Analytics or a comparable analytics provider is enabled on the site, it uses cookies to help us understand aggregate traffic patterns. We do not sell analytics data. You can block analytics with any standard browser privacy extension.

Third-party embeds

Some pages embed content hosted elsewhere: YouTube videos, Bluesky posts, a VoteROI countdown widget, and press-release PDFs. When you interact with an embed, the third party may set its own cookies subject to its own privacy policy.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time from any email footer. If you want to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you, write to privacy@parallaxadvisory.llc and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
