Boebert Crime Family Crime Spree Continues

A judge in a different county has now granted a temporary protection order against Tyler Boebert. Colorado court records reviewed by American Muckrakers show case 2026C925, Hatcher, Vanessa Serenity v. Boebert, Tyler, filed in Mesa County Court on August 14, 2026. The docket shows a temporary restraining order complaint filed that day, and on August 17, 2026 an entry reading Temporary Protection Order Granted, followed by an order. The case is assigned to Judge Matthew Bryson Hardin in Division 6, and the case status is open. A Temporary Restraining Order Hearing is set for August 28, 2026 at 9:00 AM in Courtroom 6. The record lists Boebert, born January 1, 2005, as the defendant, and the petitioner, born December 31, 2007, as the plaintiff. This is a separate matter in a separate county from the Garfield County felony case below, and from the Weld County and Garfield County sentencings set for next month. The underlying allegations are not stated on the face of the docket, and American Muckrakers has not seen the petition. A temporary protection order is issued on one side's sworn statement before the other side has been heard; the August 28 hearing is where Boebert can contest it and where the court decides whether to make the order permanent. The Garfield County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the arrest in a news release. Sheriff Lou Vallario's office says deputies arrested Tyler Boebert of New Castle on August 9, 2026 on an arrest warrant for charges under CRS 18-6-403, sexual exploitation of a child, and multiple other charges. The release says the arrest follows an investigation by the Sheriff's Office and a felony review process by the 9th Judicial District Attorney's Office. Bond was set at $10,000 and Boebert bonded out of the Garfield County Jail the same day. The Sheriff's Office says no additional information will be released while the investigation remains ongoing.

Court calendar records now show Tyler Boebert's first hearing in the new case. He is scheduled for an Appearance on Bond in case 2026CR234 on August 19, 2026 at 1:30 PM in Garfield County, Courtroom 11. That puts him in front of a judge on the new felony charges just 16 days before his September 4 sentencing in Weld County (case 2025M2424) and 22 days before his September 10 sentencing in Garfield County (case 2024CR57). Rep. Lauren Boebert is expected to testify on his behalf at those sentencings. The court calendar is below.

Tyler Jay Boebert, the 21-year-old son of Rep. Lauren Boebert, is now the subject of legal actions in three separate Colorado counties at the same time. Court records reviewed by American Muckrakers show a temporary protection order granted against him in Mesa County on August 17, five pending felony counts in Garfield County, and a sentencing hearing on the calendar in Weld County.

The Mesa County matter is the newest. Case 2026C925, a protection-order case brought by a private party, was filed August 14 and the court granted a temporary protection order on August 17. A hearing on whether that order becomes permanent is set for August 28. In Garfield County, he faces five counts filed August 6 in case 2026CR234, including three felony child sexual exploitation charges, and he is due back in court there August 19. In Weld County, he is set for sentencing September 4 in case 2025M2424, with a second sentencing September 10 back in Garfield County in case 2024CR57.

The Garfield County charges are accusations, and Tyler Boebert is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. A temporary protection order is a civil order, not a criminal charge, and it is granted on one side's sworn statement before the other side has been heard. What follows is the documented record in each county.

Tyler Jay Boebert, the 21-year-old son of Rep. Lauren Boebert, is facing a new felony case in Garfield County, Colorado, and the charges are the most serious he has ever faced.

According to Colorado court records reviewed by American Muckrakers, case 2026CR234 was filed in Garfield County District Court on August 6, 2026. The People of the State of Colorado v. Boebert, Tyler J lists five counts:

1. Sexual exploitation of a child, induce/entice (C.R.S. 18-6-403(3)(a)), a Class 3 felony
2. Sexual exploitation of a child, possession with intent (C.R.S. 18-6-403(3)(c)), a Class 3 felony
3. Sexual exploitation of a child, video (C.R.S. 18-6-403(3)(b.5), (5)(b)(II)), a Class 4 felony
4. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor (C.R.S. 18-6-701(1)(a)), a Class 4 felony
5. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor (C.R.S. 18-6-701(1)(a)), a Class 4 felony

The docket shows a rapid sequence: an information and affidavit filed August 6, a warrant upon affidavit issued August 7, bond set the same day at $10,000 cash or surety, and the warrant canceled August 9. A county jail release log obtained by American Muckrakers shows Boebert released from custody on August 9, 2026.

The case is assigned to Judge Elise Victoria Myer in Division C. The arresting agency is listed as the Garfield County Sheriff's Office. Court records list the offense dates as beginning January 1, 2024.

The timing could not be worse for the Boebert family. Tyler Boebert is already scheduled for two sentencing hearings next month in separate cases: September 4 in Weld County (case 2025M2424) and September 10 in Garfield County (case 2024CR57). His mother, Rep. Lauren Boebert, is expected to testify on his behalf at those hearings. Whether this new felony case changes that calculus, or those hearings, remains to be seen.
